Our partnership School St Noa Girls FC etched their name in Ugandan women’s football history by winning the 2024/25 FUFA Women Elite League, defeating Asubo Ladies 1-0 in a tightly contested final on Sunday, May 25, at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

The decisive moment came from our client Silvia Kabene, who capitalized on a rare defensive mistake between Asubo Ladies’ goalkeeper Olga Lukia Bitiru and a teammate. A mix-up in the box saw the ball spill awkwardly, and Kabene was quickest to react, tapping home the only goal of the match to seal her side’s triumph. St Noa’s victory capped an impressive season in which they dominated the Elizabeth Group, finishing unbeaten with 32 points and conceding just once.

St Noa’s dominance this season was further reflected in the individual accolades awarded after the final. Match-winner Silvia Kabene was named the Most Valuable Player of the Season, while goalkeeper Lillian Nakirya received the Goalkeeper of the Season award for her outstanding performances throughout the campaign.
This victory adds another chapter to the remarkable year for St Noa Girls FC were they won the 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) girls’ football title and the 2025 CAF Africa Schools Football Championship in Ghana, where they claimed a silver medal after losing 2-0 to the hosts in the final.
