Wednesday, 10 June 2026, Mgarr, Malta— The Sepuya Inc Agency is delighted to announce that our client, Ugandan international teenage forward Sylivia Kabene has joined Mgarr United Women FC competing in Malta’s top-flight Assikura Women’s Football League.
The transfer to Mgarr United Women FC presents an exciting opportunity for the teenager to compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League during the 2026/27 season.
Kabene enjoyed a remarkable debut season in Malta quickly establishing herself as one of the league’s most lethal forwards. Despite featuring in only 11 league matches, the talented forward scored 12 goals and provided four assists with 16 goal contributions and finishing as the joint fourth highest scorer in the Malta Women’s League.
Her performances helped Hibernians Women FC remain among the league’s top contenders while attracting attention from the country’s leading clubs.
Now Kabene joins a Mġarr United Women FC, a side that has established itself as one of the dominant forces in Maltese women’s football which offers her the chance to challenge for domestic honours and test herself against Europe’s elite in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
At just 19 years old Kabene continues to break barriers for Ugandan women’s football. Her journey from local football in Uganda with St Noa Girls Football Club to becoming one of the most exciting young forwards in Malta is a testament to her talent ,dedication, and relentless ambition.
